Judge Postpones Evidence Suppression Hearing in T.I. Case

A judge on Thursday (January 3) postponed a suppression hearing in T.I.’s federal weapons trial for another six weeks...

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman rescheduled the hearing, which was supposed to take place today, until February 19. On November 20, attorneys for the rapper filed motions seeking to suppress evidence seized during his October 13 arrest because of a lack of proper warrants or probable cause. They also contended that statements the rapper made to officers during his arrest were obtained illegally. Should Tip’s legal team succeed in getting this significant evidence tossed, the government’s case will be severely impeded. Source: XXL
